Our journey with Vicky and Mike @nookonlynelabradors began in December 2021 when we discovered their Website whilst searching for a Labrador breeder who fully health tested their dog's and had the right ethos re the number of litters each bitch had etc. This was extremely important to us due to past experiences with a different breed.Having filled in the expression of interest form there our story begins. We had numerous in depth phone calls, photos sent during the pregnancy, and once the pup's were born and Vicky confirmed we would be having one of the litter, we also had weekly video calls. Vicky spent a long time ascertaining in depth what we were looking for in our pup, especially as we not only wanted a dog that would be both happy lounging in front of a fire, but also a dog that would be willing and able to work out in the field. We were so very lucky to bring home Loxley from mum Willow's litter in June 2022. Vicky and Mike did an amazing job, ensuring he was exposed to all sorts of sensory stimuli, including sounds and smells. Vicky even introduced walking sticks to him as she knew i have mobility issues. He was everything we were looking for and more, and has turned into a stunning, loveable and biddable 2yr old who excells at training. We were so pleased with Loxley we decided to add another Labrador to our home. and when I saw Willow had a planned litter in 2024 we contacted Vicky in January 2023 to request we be added to the waiting list. Vicky repeated the process again asking in depth the traits we were looking for in a puppy. When Willow delivered her litter we were extremely excited to be told that we would indeed be able to bring home a half brother to Loxley (we had previously met the very handsome Diesel and knew what an amazing temperament he has). Vicky and Mike spent many hours with the puppies, again ensuring they had the best start in life, one that exposes them to lots of stimuli. Taran is a very chilled puppy and nothing seems to phase him. He has settled so wellHe is very inquisitive and bright, and mastered sit and down in minutes.We adore both our very special boy's -(Loxley - born 5/4/2022 & Taran - born 3/4/2024)and can't thank Vicky and Mike enough for entrusting these dogs to us.
