Ian came across Vicky and Mike's Nook on Lyne Website around 10 days after losing our beautiful black Labrador Retriever Rosie on 20th of March 2023 after a short illness.
We were very impressed with the website which details all the health and DNA testing they do. We weren't surprised that there was a waiting list for their fantastic puppies as they had been successful in being awarded Best Pure Bred Labrador Breeder 2024 – UK. This was in addition to being ranked 3rd Greatest Labrador Breeder in the UK by PupVine.
We filled in an Expression of Interest form and were invited to come and meet them and their dogs. We were very impressed with the impeccable facilities, Vicky and Mike took time to introduce us to all their dogs who all have fantastic personalities including Diesel the stud dog who is a real character and we took to him straight away.
We were thrilled to learn that Willow and Diesel had been successful in a multiple pregnancy. On 3rd April we heard that Willow had given birth to 8 puppies and we would be getting a little girl. We had weekly WhatsApp Video Calls to see how lovely Willow was with the puppies and it was very interesting to see the progress they made each week. She gave us lots of opportunities to ask any questions. Vicky also needed to know more about our lifestyle and what we would expect from a dog in order to help with the puppy profiling.
They worked a lot with the puppies and did a lot of socialisation with them, introducing them to a lot of sounds/things that they could come up against in everyday life.
We didn't know which puppy we were going to get until 2 weeks before we were due to pick her up and we were not disappointed to say the least with the puppy Vicky matched with us through her puppy profiling. Amber is the most stunning and adorable loving puppy we could ever have asked for.
We would thoroughly recommend getting a puppy from Vicky and Mike at Nook on Lyne Labradors, we waited over a year but it has been well worth it. The dedication they have for the health and welfare of the Dogs is second to none and we can't thank them enough for our Amber.
