I had been in contact with Vicky at Nook on Lyne Labradors since early in the year as my life circumstances had finally come together to allow me to take on my first puppy. I had grown up with dogs and my mum always had labs, but this would be the first one that I would bring up! After filling out a form showing my interest in getting a puppy from Nook on Lyne and a long and both very productive and informative video call I was put on the waiting list for one of their puppies. I was lucky and when Watson was born I received a phone call to let me know that I could have one of Ebony's litter - a black boy.

Vicky and her husband Mike do everything possible to ensure that the parents are in the best of health and tested against numerous hereditary diseases, they are fed the best food and live in a loving home. All the things that were important for me in choosing them as the breeders of my dog.

The time before Watson came home with me was filled with preparation and learning what to expect and I got regular updates during the pregnancy and after birth so I was able to see the wonderful environment the puppies were being brought up in. I was beside myself with excitement and a little nervous about how my life was about to change.

Vicky asked lots of questions about what kind of dog I wanted - I don't think I was very helpful, not on purpose, but I found it hard to verbalise. I knew I wanted a puppy that was good with people and that was sufficiently independent to let me get on with my work... Despite my lack of clarity Vicky chose the perfect puppy for me and since I picked Watson up 3 weeks ago he has been an utter joy. Due to his early exposure to a variety of smells and then sounds, plus the loving care and attention he got from his wonderful mum, Ebony as well as Vicky and Mike, almost nothing phases him and he is happy to meet each and every human - and dogs too! His absolute favourite though, is my siamese cat, Chai who he adores!

I can't recommend Vicky and Mike enough as breeders, if you are interested in knowing that your pup comes from an excellent, ethical home and you want a well-balanced and healthy puppy.
